EZ Startup Manager Features |
- Information - EZ Startup Manager displays information about
Windows startup programs in
plain simple English!
- Recommendations - EZ Startup manager provides a clear color coded recommendation to
help you decide if a program
should be disabled (turned off)
- Change Notification - EZ Startup Manager warns you when your configuration
has changed.
- EZ
Startup Manager remembers the selections you have made so next time
you can remove any changes with just a click.
- A tiny program tests your computer at startup, and then exits (so
that it does not become part of the problem).
- If your computer's startup
configuration has not changed, it does nothing.
- If your computer's
startup configuration has changed, a warning is displayed.
- EZ Startup Manager is then loaded so that you may disabled the new
programs - or accept them.
- EZ Startup Manager displays the warning "A Change in your
Windows
startup has been detected! Would you like EZ Startup Manager to erase
the change?" [Yes/No].
- If you answer "Yes", the change is removed and you are prompted to
restart your computer.
- If you answer "No", you can review the change and optionally
"Accept" it.
- Once you have "Accepted" a new program, you will not be warned about
it again.
- Security - EZ Startup Manager provides and optional Password "lock".
- Once the optional password is entered, new changes to your computers
startup cannot be saved as Accepted without entering the password.
- This feature was added so that if you are sharing a computer, or
have a computer that you are responsible for that other people use, you
can prevent the change to the system startup while still allowing those
users full access to the computer.
- All warnings are still displayed, and the current user is allowed to
remove any changes to the startup (allowed to put it back the way it
was), but they cannot save their changes.
- This means that you will always be able to easily restore the
computer back to the way it was the next time you use the computer.
- The Password also restricts access to EZ Startup Managers Advanced
Mode

compatible with MSConfig.
- MSConfig reads EZ Startup Manager changes
