DDNS Client Setup |
Everyone should review the Setup Instructions:
- After clicking Finish after the installation is complete, the
following screen will be displayed:
- If you are setup the program for the first time, click on "I would
like to create a new account" and press the Next button. The
following screen will be displayed.
- Enter your account information
- User name - This is your account name. Enter single work
consisting of letter and/or numbers. Please write it down for future
reference.
- Password - Enter the password you would like to use. Please
write it down for future reference.
- Confirm password - Enter the same password again.
- First name - Enter your first name.
- Last name - Enter your last name
- Email address - Enter a valid email address so we may contact
you about your demo.
- Country of Residence - Select your country from the drop-down
list.
- Press the Next button to create the new account and continue.
(If you enter a User name that has already been selected, you will
be prompted to select a different User name.). The following screen
will be displayed once your account has been created:
- Click on Add New to create the
name to be assigned to your computer. The following screen is displayed:
- Enter your domain information:
- Type the prefix of the name you want assigned to your computer in the
Host box. This could be yourname, your_name, yourcompany or any
thing you like.
- Select the suffix of the name you want assigned to your computer from
the Domain drop-down list. (I you cannot use and of the available
Domains, you can purchase a custom name.)
- Change the Type from Standard to Primary using
the Type drop-down list.
- Leave the Priority at 10.
- Click Add new record when done. You will be returned to the main
screen. Your new domain name will be displayed in the domain list. (If you
enter a domain name that has already been selected, you will be prompted
to select a new name. Please change the Host and/or Domain
and try again.). fhcc in the domain licomputing.com and office in the
domain fhcc.com have been added.
- Click on the IP Detection tab at the top of the screen. The following
screen will be displayed:
- The default selection (Wan detection) is normally the best.
Click on Test configuration in the WAN
detection section. If the test passes, click on
Save settings. If not try the Adapter Detection method
and/or Router detection methods. If nothing works, please contact
us at
DDNS-Support@fhcc.com.
- Click on the Options tab at the top of the screen. The
following screen will be displayed:
- It is recommend that you select Run program as system service
and Start program minimized. Optionally you can select Run
program at startup instead of Run program as system service.
The difference is you do not have to be logged in for the DDNS Update
Client to work if you select to Run as system service. Click on
Save settings then press the Hide
button.
- Your setup is complete! You can now find your computer on the
internet.
